During his 16 years at UNL Ben has held a variety of roles in the Finance and HR areas including five years in the Agronomy Department and six years in the College of Education. He then spent four years serving in a campus wide role in Business & Finance implementing standardized business processes and shared services for HR and Finance as a Process Improvement Director. In that role, he and his team has completed over 100 process improvement projects. He also oversaw the Ncard office, the Passport Office, the Business Systems team, and the Business & Finance Business Center. After spending a year as the Director of Payroll Operations he recently stepped into an Interim role as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. One of the things he enjoys most about leadership is exploring the strengths of his team members and guiding them to leverage those strengths for their growth and success. He also enjoys utilizing technology to constantly improve efficiency in his daily work.
