Dr. Karen Kassebaum is a nationally respected leader, scholar, and practitioner in leadership development within higher education. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has led inclusive leadership initiatives across universities and the corporate sector, including the University of South Carolina and Hudl. As the founder of Athlete2Athlete, and Leadership Identity Lab, Dr. Kassebaum bridges research and practice to help students, student-athletes, and emerging professionals clarify their leadership identity, build confidence, and strengthen belonging. Her work centers peer leadership, culture, and transitions, critical leverage points for student success and institutional impact. Dr. Kassebaum believes that strong leadership is not about titles, but about how we show up with one another, support students, and contribute to a positive campus and work culture.
