Jodi Mackin, a proud native of south-central Nebraska, is one of the go-to HR Specialists for faculty recruitment at the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR). She’s been rocking this role with the HR ‘dream team’ since 2015, but her journey with IANR started way back in 1997. Over the years, she’s worn many hats—including administrative associate, grant specialist, and editor—proving she’s basically a Swiss Army knife of skills! Beyond UNL, Jodi has kept things interesting as the executive secretary of the Hastings Symphony Orchestra and as a substitute teacher in area schools (because wrangling kids and musicians builds serious multitasking skills!). She calls the peaceful countryside near Ayr, NE home, where she enjoys life with her husband and four grown kids. With an empty nest on the horizon, she’s gearing up for the next big adventure—whatever that may be!
