Jordan Gonzales is a change agent and transformative higher education leader who has benefited from a subtraction mindset. As the senior director of alumni engagement at the Nebraska Alumni Association, Jordan’s job is to transform alumni pride and loyalty into action for the advancement of the University of Nebraska. He was elected president of the UNL Staff Senate in 2024 and serves as a member of the Chancellor's Leadership Cabinet.  
 
Jordan is a Ph.D. candidate at UNL and has published on higher education leadership, nonprofit management, and strategic planning. He earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from UNL in 2017 and a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from UNK in 2012. His presentation at last year's All-Staff Conference focused on The Power of Regret.
