Mikeala is the Technology Trainer for the University of Nebraska’s Learning Experience division of IT. Her role focuses on the adoption and expansion of technology-rich tools across the university environment. She is an advocate of promoting positive relationships between faculty, staff, students, and the technology services IT provides. The main platform for delivery of training created or supported by Mikeala is the Bridge Learning Management System (LMS).

Mikeala graduated most recently from University of Nebraska-Kearney (May 2024) with her Master’s of Science in Education for Learning, Design, and Leadership in Instructional Technology. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Natural Science Education with a supplemental endorsement in Coaching from Midland University in Fremont. Before her current role at the University, Mikeala was the Retention and Science Specialist at the University of Nebraska High School and before that, she was a high school science teacher for 5 years.

Mikeala has lived in Lincoln with her husband and cats since 2016. She enjoys reading, kayaking, dancing, and playing board games (Parcheesi anyone?). You will likely see her with an iced coffee year-round!
