Shelley Zaborowski became executive director of the Nebraska Alumni Association in April 2015. In this role, Shelley works closely with the university administration, athletic department, University of Nebraska Foundation, campus community and alumni chapters and groups to encourage the active participation of alumni and friends with the university. 
 
A native of Omaha, Shelley is a two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. As an undergraduate, she was elected Homecoming Queen in 1995. Shelley earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1996 and master's degree in education in 2000. She received a Council of Alumni Association Executives Forman Fellowship in 2007, the Lincoln Business Journal's "40 Under 40" Award in 2006, and the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Young Professional Honor Roll in 2019. 
 
Shelley and her husband Keith have two children, Madeline and Ethan, both of whom will graduate from the University of Nebraska in May of 2025. In her spare time, Shelley enjoys reading, baking, and long walks with her dog, Stanley.
